The Dyson Place Development

NOPE, IT’S NOT A HAVEN OF HOOVERS AND HAIRDRYERS. IT’S A COURTYARD SCHEME JUST OFF SHARROW VALE ROAD WITH A VIBRANT MIX OF APARTMENTS, OFFICES, INDEPENDENT SHOPS AND EATERIES.

The name comes from the cobbled roadway up from Sharrow Vale road which used to have residential terraces but most were knocked down years ago. There’s also a big building (The Mission Hall) which was a church meeting hall for the Parish of Sharrow built in 1901 but for years it was used as storage for the mills.

“When we bought in the land it was just muddy car parking space and it’s been around 10 years pulling everything together, then about 2-3 years on the build to clean everything up and get the courtyard open to public. If corona hadn’t come along we’d be using the space for events like a pop up-cinema and outdoor dining.” says Daniel Flowers.

Dyson Place is open 7 days a week however the individual businesses will have their own operating hours. Here's what you can find in the courtyard:

PELLIZCO

Pellizco originated as a Mexican street food operation in Sheffield during 2020. Since then they've won several awards and opened their first taqueria in Cutlery Works, Kelham Island (now closed).

Cornerstone at Dyson Place aims to bring a relaxed dining option, open morning to night with a casual evolution throughout the day.
