Coffee & Cafes

Ink and Water

Long terms friends and designers Rob and Simon have created a café/design agency that stands out from the usual offerings of this area.

Let them transport you away from the chaos of West One Plaza and into the world of Ink and Water; a new café causing a stir amongst designers and coffee lovers alike.

Ink and Water was formed in 2011 as solely a creative agency based next to the Showroom Cinema. In late 2013 after outgrowing their studio space they relocated to West One Plaza just off Division Street. Armed with their motto “great work begins with a great brew,“ a passion for coffee and the desire to create a space that both clients and the general population could integrate, their café was formed.

This location serves as a great place to watch the world go by, with many business meetings ending up as business afternoons. The cafe’s interior is bright with huge windows and white tiles. The simple wooden counter and homely rugs work perfectly together within the modern surroundings. With typewriters hanging form the walls and stylised menus, Ink and Water has a lively feel to it, fitting its purpose as a design agency’s café.

Much like us, Ink and Water are driven by supporting the little guy, and that’s why they use only locally sourced produce in their café. On offer is an assortment of baked goods and tasty sandwiches, but the focus is most definitely on producing perfect cups of coffee. And for that reason their beans are from non other than one of Sheffield’s oldest family run businesses, Pollards coffee.

Whilst the creative individual among us should already be more then convinced by Ink and Water, we believe that those who are not fussed by design and all things nice, will be more than blown away by their delicious food, the modern ambience and the friendly staff. As far as we are concerned we’re chuffed to have found this beautiful spot amongst all the other commercial giants near by.

So whether you fancy a coffee and a cake, or require their creative skills, why not pop in and say hi. Alternatively, give them a ‘follow’, to keep up to date with their creative escapades.
